January – Go Vegetarian – Make one day meat free every week during this month. Driving meat from farms back to the store is bad for the environment, also it’s wrapped in plastic. Raising the animals on farms means you need deforestation. Animal waste (poops and farts) are really bad for the environment.
February – Buy Local – Buy local products that way they don’t need to be transported that far.
March – Pick Your Own – this month is special. Why? Because you get to choose what you do!
Pick something that will help the environment then do it. If you have any really good ideas tell us!
April – Tree Planting – Plant flowers or a tree.
May – Save Energy – Turn off the lights you aren’t using. Unplug chargers you aren’t using. Use solar panels.
June – Neighborhood cleanup – Go for a walk in your neighborhood and pick up any litter you see.
July – Water conservation – Take a shorter shower and think of two more ways to conserve water. Let us know what you come up with.
August – No trash – Recycle, and compost as much as possible – use reusable containers, and recyclable / compostable material as much as possible, if you have any ideas let us know.
September – Use rechargeable batteries – Switch out your batteries for rechargeable ones that way you don’t need to throw away multiple batteries which are bad for the environment.
October – Try not to use the things in your house that take up the most energy like video game consoles when plugged in, microwaves, and toasters.
November – Share the knowledge – Tell other people about the E.W.S. and suggest ways to help the environment to them.
December – No pollution – drive least amount possible / carpool. What are some other things that create pollution? How can we avoid them? Let us know what you think of.
